Even if I totally believed that the ObamaCare law that was passed by congress should be fully funded, the law as it currently stands, was changed by Obama 19 times so the law that was passed, isn’t the law that Obama and the democrats want to fund.  Where does Obama think he gets the authority to change laws as he sees fit?
Of course, on the other hand, when the law was passed, it was passed without any mention of it being a tax. And now the SCOTUS says its constitutional because it’s a tax… but hey.. it wasn’t submitted and passed as a tax, so how can it be legally enforced? The law that was voted on and passed doesn’t exist!!!!

Obama Slashes Pay Raises for Military

(OR PAYING FOR HIS TRIPS AND OTHER BULLSHIT ON THE BACKS OF THE ACTIVE DUTY AND RETIREES)

President Obama has told Congress he will cap next year’s pay raise for U.S. military personnel at 1 percent instead of boosting pay by 1.8 percent as called for by a federal law.

The president’s move will negatively impact American combat troops scheduled to remain in Afghanistan through 2014.

The federal law says military pay raises must be based on the Employment Cost Index compiled by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which ties military raises to private sector pay growth. Under that formula, military personnel should be getting a 1.8 percent pay raise beginning in January 2014, CNS News reported.

But the law also states that the president can inform Congress of an alternative pay adjustment “if because of national emergency or serious economic conditions affecting the general welfare, the president considers the pay adjustment which would otherwise be required by this section in any year to be inappropriate.”

Obama wrote to congressional leaders: “I am strongly committed to supporting our uniformed service members, who have made such great contributions to our nation over the past decade of war. As our country continues to recover from serious economic conditions affecting the general welfare, however, we must maintain efforts to keep our nation on a sustainable fiscal course.”

He also asserted that his decision “will not materially affect the federal government’s ability to attract and retain well-qualified members” of the military.

The House passed a bill in July authorizing the 1.8 percent raise, but the Senate has set the raise at 1 percent as recommended by Obama.

Military pay rose 1.7 percent this year and 1.6 percent in 2012.

Retired Air Force Col. Mike Hayden, director of government relations for the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), calculated that the reduced pay raise could cost an officer with 10 years of service about $52 a month next year, or $8,000 over the remaining years of his or her career. It would also cost a service member $20,000 in retirement pay.

Hayden wrote on the MOAA website: “Over the past 12 years, Congress worked hard to fix the 13.5 percent pay gap (and resulting retention problems) caused by repeatedly capping military raises below private-sector pay growth in the 1980s and 1990s.

“History has shown that once Congress starts accepting proposals to cap military pay below private-sector growth, pay caps continue until they have weakened retention and readiness.”

This just about says it all as far as I’m concerned!  Mychal is right on target.  To bad so many Americans are too stupid to realize what is being done to them!

A Black Reporter Summarizes Barack

The below summarization of Barack and Michelle Obama’s 5 year reign in the White House is by far the best I’ve ever read as it squarely hits the nail on the head. The other evening on my twitter, a person asked me why I didn’t like the Obama’s? Specifically I was asked: “I have to ask, why do you hate the Obama’s? It seems personal, not policy related. You even dissed (disrespect) their Christmas family picture.”

The truth is I do not like the Obamas, what they represent, their ideology, and I certainly do not like his policies and legislation. I’ve made no secret of my contempt for the Obamas. As I responded to the person who asked me the aforementioned question, I don’t like them because they are committed to the fundamental change of my/our country into what can only be regarded as a Communist state.

I don’t hate them per definition, but I condemn them because they are the worst kind of racialists, they are elitist Leninists with contempt for traditional America. They display disrespect for the sanctity of the office he holds, and for those who are willing to admit same, Michelle Obama’s raw contempt for white America is transpicuous. I don’t like them because they comport themselves as emperor and empress.

I expect, no I demand respect, for the Office of President and a love of our country and her citizenry from the leader entrusted with the governance of same. President and Mrs. Reagan displayed an unparalleled love for the country and her people.

The Reagan’s made Americans feel good about themselves and about what we could accomplish. Obama’s arrogance by appointing 32 leftist czars and constantly bypassing congress is impeachable. Eric Holder is probably the MOST incompetent and arrogant DOJ head to ever hold the job. Could you envision President Reagan instructing his Justice Department to act like jack-booted thugs?

Presidents are politicians and all politicians are known and pretty much expected to manipulate the truth, if not outright lie, but even using that low standard, the Obama’s have taken lies, dishonesty, deceit, mendacity, subterfuge and obfuscation to new depths. They are verbally abusive to the citizenry, and they display an animus for civility.

I do not like them, because they both display bigotry overtly, as in the case of Harvard Professor Louis Gates, when he accused the Cambridge Police of acting stupidly, and her code speak pursuant to not being able to be proud of America. I view that statement and that mindset as an insult to those who died to provide a country where a Kenyan, his illegal alien relatives, and his alleged progeny, could come and not only live freely, but rise to the highest, most powerful, position in the world.

Michelle Obama is free to hate and disparage whites because Americans of every description paid with their blood to ensure her right to do same. I have a saying, that “the only reason a person hides things, is because they have something to hide.” No president in history has spent millions of dollars to keep his records and his past sealed.

And what the two of them have shared has been proved to be lies. He lied about when and how they met, he lied about his mother’s death and problems with insurance, Michelle lied to a crowd pursuant to nearly $500,000 bank stocks they inherited from his family. He has lied about his father’s military service, about the civil rights movement, ad nausea. He lied to the world about the Supreme Court in a State of the Union address. He berated and publicly insulted a sitting Congressman. He has surrounded himself with the most rabidly, radical, socialist academicians today.

He opposed rulings that protected women and children that even Planned Parenthood did not seek to support. He is openly hostile to business and aggressively hostile to Israel. His wife treats being the First Lady as her personal American Express Black Card (arguably the most prestigious credit card in the world). I condemn them because, as people are suffering, losing their homes, their jobs, their retirements, he and his family are arrogantly showing off their life of entitlement – as he goes about creating and fomenting class warfare.

I don’t like them, and I neither apologize nor retreat from my public condemnation of them and of his policies. We should condemn them for the disrespect they show our people, for his willful and unconstitutional actions pursuant to obeying the Constitutional parameters he is bound by, and his willful disregard for Congressional authority.

Dislike for them has nothing to do with the color of their skin; it has everything to do with their behavior, attitudes, and policies. And I have open scorn for their constantly playing the race card.

I could go on, but let me conclude with this. I condemn in the strongest possible terms the media for refusing to investigate them, as they did President Bush and President Clinton, and for refusing to label them for what they truly are. There is no scenario known to man, whereby a white president and his wife could ignore laws, flaunt their position, and lord over the people, as these two are permitted out of fear for their color.

Surprisingly most don’t realize that it was the Southern Democrats that did both!   There is so much misinformation that has been dumped on our fellow citizens that having been said over and over again, they have come to believe it.  The party of Racists are the Democrats!  Check your history!  Who didn’t want the blacks to be able to have guns?  The Democrats!  Who didn’t want the blacks to be able to read?  The Democrats!  Who is it that created the great plantation of dependance that has destroyed the sense of self worth and accomplishment in todays black communities?  The Democrats!  They don’t care about helping you to realize your dreams, they only care about keeping you dependent on the  the next hand out to buy your vote.  Look a the largest cities in our great country that are failing… who has been in power for decades and have lined their own pockets with taxpayer dollars while driving the cities in to financial ruin?  The Democrats.  In Detroit, they held power for 50 years and the Democrats are trying to say the Republicans caused the problem.  Thats like blaming the dog for crapping on your carpet when you don’t own a dog!

Border Security.. Lets talk about how safe we are.  Our government will spy on it’s legal citizens to protect us against a ‘POSSIBLE” threat, but they won’t close the southern border where terrorists can just walk across into the United States carrying a nuclear suitcase bomb or chem weapons. Does that make any sense?  We need congress to secure the border in a separate bill that gets passed now.. and when the border state governors certify that the border is secure, then , and only then, can the congress start to discuss immigration reform.

It’s that simple.  But they won’t do it because both sides like to pile their pet pork into the bills, such as Harry Reids special perk to Nevada for tourism. Does anyone really think that Las Vegas needs our tax dollars to coerce people to want to go there?

We’re all SCREWED and the inmates are running the asylum unless we start to stand up for our civil rights.  The BILL OF RIGHTS are our CIVIL RIGHTS and the government does not have the power to take them from us, unless we continue to look the other way, stick our head in the sand, or just don’t give a shit if our country becomes a third world country run by the power class and administered like the book 1984.  2+2=5!

With what Boehner is planning over Amnesty for Illegal Aliens, he DOES NOT have the best interest of our country or conservatives at heart. He has made a deal with the devil and he has other so called Conservatives following him down the trail to slaughter!  JEFF FLAKE.. What the hell happened to you?  You sold us a bill of goods. We know McCain is a RINO and should really be in the Democrat party, but you did a real good job fooling all of us.  Shame on me for voting for and supporting you.  Lindsay Graham?  You’re worse than McCain and you’re going to be unemployed at your next election.

The House is going to pass an Immigration bill that will have border security first, and then it will go to conference with the Senate version that doesn’t have it.  Then the conference committee will pull the border security out and insert amnesty first and the RINO”s and their lemmings will vote for the new bill and it will pass and we will all be SCREWED!!

WE have to get rid of Boehner but we don’t have time.  It seems it can be done thru a house resolution.  But who has the guts to do it to save the country?

In the Constitution, not much is said about the Speaker’s position. Article 1 of the Constitution deals with the legislature, including the House of Representatives. Article 1, Section 2 simply states:

The House of Representatives shall chuse their speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

That (half) line is all the Constitution says about the position of the Speakership. Through House rules, however, he has become perhaps the most powerful person in Congress. He (or she, in the case of Nancy Pelosi) can exert considerable influence on how the House operates, and the Speaker can unilaterally decide when and whether to bring a bill to the floor for a vote. In other words, he can grind the whole process to a halt if he so chooses.

The Speaker of the House is elected on the first day of Congress, and it is one of the first orders of business of the House of Representatives when it opens a new session. However, it turns out that it is possible to remove a sitting Speaker. The Jefferson Manual, in which Thomas Jefferson lays out the parliamentary rules that came to govern the House of Representatives, states:

A Speaker may be removed at the will of the House, and a Speaker pro tempore appointed.

A resolution declaring the Office of Speaker vacant presents a question of constitutional privilege, though the House has never removed a speaker. It has on several occasions removed or suspended other officers, such as Clerk and Doorkeeper. A resolution for the removal of an officer is presented as a matter of privilege.

So, according to Jefferson, the Speaker can be removed by a House Resolution (H. Res.). There is, however, absolutely no mention in the current Rules of the House of Representatives for the 113th Congress of removing a Speaker. The rules state that the Speaker or the House may remove another officer, and the rules state that the House can elect a Speaker pro tempore (as Jefferson suggests) if there is a vacancy. But it’s not clear that the House can present a resolution to create that vacancy.

To answer the original question… good question. There is legal and philosophical precedent, but there is no explicitly stated method for removing the Speaker of the House. So the only way we would know for sure is if someone actually presented a resolution as a question of privilege requesting the removal of the Speaker of the House.
