Lets think about the Religious Liberty law’s that are in the news these days. It seems that the only issue is with Christians that believe Gay Marriage is wrong based on their religious beliefs and because of that they don’t believe they should be forced to partake in the ceremony, be it thru photographer, baker, or caterer. So where are the stories of people going to Muslim stores and demanding the same services? Walk into a Muslim establishment and demand they cater your event at the Nudist Colony. Would this be offensive to Muslims? Sure because they have strong beliefs that women should be fully covered. A reasonable customer, one that doesn’t have a political agenda, would just go find another caterer to take care of their event. An activist would act like there’s no other place they can go to for this service and would sue the establishment, even though the owner of the establishment, business is guaranteed the practice of their religion under the Constitution. It seems to me that your rights end where they infringe upon the rights of the person you are dealing with. Strong religious beliefs should be justification to NOT have to support something that violates their religious beliefs.

I have another question for you to ponder:  A person legally owns a firearm under the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution and lives where open carry is the law.  They want to get a pizza for dinner so they walk into an pizzeria where there’s a sign that says “NO WEAPONS ALLOWED”.  Does the pizzeria owner have the right to deny service to the person that is exercising their 2nd Amendment rights to protect themselves?  What about the rights of the armed customer?  Do business owners have the right of discretion when it comes to operating their business?  The armed customer can always have the pizza delivered, or can go to another pizzeria that doesn’t “DISCRIMINATE” against customers who are pursuing their legal right under the 2nd Amendment.
Constitutional rights are stubborn things.  They either exist or they don’t exist. What about the sign that we used to always see “NO SHOES, NO SHIRT, NO SERVICE”.  Would that be discriminating against a poor or homeless person, or is it the right of the business owner to enjoy life, liberty  and the pursuit of happiness?
The militant left and their “astro turf” grass roots movements of hatred and intolerance are doing more harm to their causes than they are doing good.  Reasonable people will say, “there shouldn’t be discrimination against anyone” but they will also recognize the rights of people to exercise their rights under the Constitution.  I have a right to NOT BE FORCED to do something that violates my religious beliefs just as I have a right to protect myself under the 2nd Amendment as long as I’m following the local, state and federal laws.
It’s time the militant LGBT community memorize the phrase “you catch more flies with honey” because when you show your intolerance and your overt hatred for anyone that disagrees with your point of view or world view, you immediately stop any form of effective dialog to address your grievances, either real or perceived.
There WILL BE A BACKLASH that will slow the progress of what you may be hoping to achieve and those that might be sympathetic with your plight, will be turned away by your ugly lack of tolerance for “DIVERSITY” and opposing views.

So lets think about the 1st Amendment of the Constitution and the meaning of Diversity and Tolerance.  Under the 1st Amendment, we have the right to free speech and religious freedom.  Diversity means inclusion of all people no matter what their race , creed , color, sexual orientation, sexual preference, or anything else.. This means ALL.. it doesn’t mean that we exclude anyone because of their  race , creed , color, sexual orientation, sexual preference, or anything else.
So why is it now common practice to exclude those that have a different opinion when it comes to anything that runs counter to the militant LGBT community.   If I”m expected to not exclude someone who has a different sexual preference than I do, and if I’m expected to tolerate  beliefs and opinions that run counter to my own, then why am I not afforded the same level of diversity and tolerance when my views and opinions run counter to theirs?
Tolerance: I will stand up for ANYONE’s right to speak/write anything that I either agree with, disagree with or that runs counter to my world view. Why? Because when you force everyone to start thinking the same and speaking the same, you are on your way to a totalitarian police state where the thought police will be in your future.   I may find what you say to be abhorrent, but since I believe in free speech, I will defend your right to say it.
Lets think about the CEO of Mozilla that just resigned because he gave a $1000 donation 6 YEARS AGO, to a pro-traditional marriage group when the Prop 8 battle was in full force. What he did was completely legal and within his rights to do.  Now, 6 years later, he is forced to resign because of his views and because he acted on his rights as a citizen of the United States and legally supported a political organization.  Where is the tolerance? Where is diversity of acceptance?
So now, lets think about our President.  Obama went to Jerimiah Wrights church and I’m sure he gave his Tithe in support of the church, and he supported the views of the church, otherwise why would he attend?  So Rev. Wright fully supports traditional marriage and Obama was in agreement with Wrights views, until he changed them recently for political reasons.  So should we expect Obama to be forced out of office because he supported a cause that was/is against Gay Marriage?
Please forgive my confusion because the outrage of the LGBT community seems to be selective and applied only when they want to have another sacrifice to the gods of intolerance and bigotry. Yes, some in the LGBT community are bigots in that they are prejudiced against anyone that sees the gay marriage issue from a different perspective.  We are expected to accept your views, but you aren’t expected to accept any view other than your own.  That’s Intolerance and you are doing exactly what you try and brand other with to destroy their lives.
The actions of the radical LGBT community does a disservice to those that have suffered the injustice of the narrow minded people opposed to the LGBT community.  Rights run both ways and equality means that all persons / groups / demographics are equal, not some more than equal than others.   It’s not my position in life to judge how others live their lives and as long as it doesn’t infringe upon my rights, then I’m perfectly fine with whatever they want to do or be.  But don’t come after me because I chose to support those causes that I agree with but you don’t.
To be clear.. yes, there are homophobes, black haters, white haters, hispanic haters, jew haters, muslim haters, christian haters, women haters, men haters and those that just hate everyone that is not a carbon copy of themselves.  I totally disagree with their world view, but they are entitled to have it and my world view shouldn’t be treated any differently than theirs just because I think mine is right.
We need to get away from Politically Correct (a term used in communist china for re-education to think like the state) and we need to celebrate the diversity of opinions and lifestyles of EVERYONE, not just those that have been historically oppressed or abused.  Bigotry of free speech and the absence of tolerance of differing opinions / world views will destroy the melting pot that is America.

(Receptionist) It is not really a Right in the Constitution, but ObamaFlowers is Constitutional because the Supreme Court Ruled it a “Tax”. Taxes are Constitutional. But we feel it is a Right.

If all of us “old farts” have all of the money, then let us try to elect someone who might be near honest & not feathering their own nests.

They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases, dinosaurs. Some of us are “Baby Boomers” getting ready to retire. Others have been retired for some time. We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were. We have worked hard, raised our children, worshiped our God and grown old together. Yes, we are the ones some refer to as being over the hill, and that is probably true. But before writing us off completely, there are a few things that need to be taken into consideration.

In school we studied English, history, math and science which enabled us to lead America into the technological age. Most of us remember what outhouses were, many of us had first-hand experience. We remember the days of telephone party-lines, 25-cent gasoline, and milk & ice being delivered to our homes. For those of you who don’t know what an icebox is, today they are electric and referred to as refrigerators. A few even remember when cars were started with a crank. Yes, we lived those days.

We are probably considered old fashioned and out-dated by many. But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off. We won WW II, fought in Korea and Viet Nam. We can quote The Pledge of Allegiance , and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the uniform of our country with pride and lost many friends on the battlefield. We didn’t fight for the Socialist States of America; we fought for the “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” We wore different uniforms, but carried the same flag. We know the words to the Star Spangled Banner, America, and America the Beautiful by heart, and you may even see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you have only read in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for America .

Yes, we are old and slow these days but rest assured, we have at least one good fight left in us. We have loved this country, fought for it, and died for it, and now we are going to save it. It is our country and nobody is going to take it away from us. We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath we plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders, there is no way we are going to remain silent.

It was mostly the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the Democratic Congress. You fell for the “Hope & Change” which in reality was nothing but “Hype & Lies.”

You have tasted socialism and seen evil face to face, and have found you don’t like it after all. You make a lot of noise, but most are all too interested in their careers or “Climbing the Social Ladder” to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and voting. Many of those who fell for the “Great Lie” in 2008 and 2012 are now having buyer’s remorse. With all the education we gave you, you didn’t have sense enough to see thru the lies and instead drank the ‘Kool-Aid.’ Now you’re paying the price and complaining about it. No jobs, lost mortgages, higher taxes and less freedom.

This is what you voted for and this is what you got. We entrusted you with the Torch of Liberty and you traded it for a an i-phone, rap music, drugs, booze, movies that promote sex and violence, and worshiping entertainers instead of God.

Well, youngsters, the Gray-Haired Brigade is here, and in 2014 we are going to take back our nation. We may drive a little slower than you would like but we get where we’re going, and in 2014 we’re going to the polls by the millions.

This land does not belong to the man in the White House nor to the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. It belongs to “We the People” and “We the People” plan to reclaim our land and our freedom. Barrycade Obama:  This egotistical tyrant is only good at one thing. Harry “the Troll” Reid:  His whiny voice and his troll like appearance should be used to scare little children at Halloween.  Harry has never uttered a lie he didn’t like.

Nancy “Botox” Pelosi:  The third rail of victim centered politics.  Her voice and her shiny botox saturated face make me wonder if she is actually so old that she was tried in Salem as a witch many years ago.  Her job is to take the lies of Obama and Reid and keep repeating them over and over again so the progressive lemmings will pick up the chant and spread it around the main stream media so the uninformed lazy voter will believe the crap that is being spewed.

Freedom and democracy isn’t free.. Each citizen has a responsibility to educate themselves on the issues that will affect them and their fellow citizens.  When the low information lazy voter just votes the way that someone else tells them to vote, they are giving up their rights and saying that they don’t really know or care what happens to this country.   You have to protect your freedoms, or you will lose them.  ie: the NSA, the IRS, and  the tyrant in the White House that rules by executive fiat and changes laws as he sees fit.
