How quickly they forget their own words… when gas prices went up under Bush, it was all Bush’s fault and he wasn’t taking action. Now that gas prices are up under Obama, it’s not his fault.. nothing ever is.. have you noticed that? He fails to act and then it’s someone else’s fault. .He had both houses of Congress and didn’t do anything about the real issues affecting our country.. Jobs bills?

Obama TV has been blasting the Republicans for “wanting to raise taxes” on the American people.. the problem with this lie is that Obama himself wanted a 1 year extension to the payroll tax cut, and his own Senate leader went against what he wanted. So Obama changes his mind and when the Republicans try and give Obama what he wanted, he starts yelling about how they are trying to hold the people hostage for their own political gains and that the Republicans WANT to raise the taxes on the American People.

WE ARE NOT A DEMOCRACY!!!!! WE ARE A REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC!

We elect representatives that are supposed to do our bidding and act on our behalf. If you want to see democracy in action, watch the video of the wall street protestors when they took a vote on if Rep. Lewis could speak to them.. In a democracy.. nothing gets done because you have to listen to everyone’s input on decisions. True democracy is anarchy… thats why our very intelligent forefathers decided on a representative republic.

So where is the system broken? Our elected officials are making decisions based on what will keep them in office and not what the people want done. In the years before “professional politicians”, representatives would serve their term, normally no more than Washington served (2 years) and then they would return home to live under the laws they passed.

The Activist courts are doing the same thing.. When the residents of a state vote in a law, then the courts have no right to overturn the will of the people. Now I know some will go off the deep end and say.. so if a state says “Kill every 5th person you see”, then that should be okay? Nope.. thats a violation of established law. Be reasonable.

So I ask you this: if laws are made and passed and implemented that allow corporations to take money overseas, or sell mortgage backed securities, or write off expenses so that like GE, the pay no tax… who’s to blame? I suggest the blame lies with the people who passed the laws.. why did they pass the laws? So they can get contributions to their re-election campaigns so they can stay employed… hopefully, some on here will understand what I’m saying.

Quesion for my brothers that support the OWS: why is it that GE isn’t being protested.. they made billions and paid ZERO tax so they are a very evil corporation… answer: because they are in the progressive lefts corner and you don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

How is it that a millionaire like Michael Moore is welcomed at OWS and yet he’s a very big capitalist and has made his money the old fashioned captialist way… but because he’s a far left progressive.. he’s okay….

Does anyone see a pattern here behind who gets targeted and who gets a pass?

WALL STREET PROTESTS:
Consider this:

Many of the protestors are pissed off because their student loans cost so much. Well, who determines how much an education costs? The banks? No.. the educational institution does.. the banks are just lending the amount of money the student is telling them that they need to pay to the college… so how does this make the banks the bad guy? Students should be protesting their educational institutions on that issue.

Foreclosures: Didn’t these people sign the paperwork and agree to pay the mortgage payment? Didn’t they realize that they are buying more house than they could afford? What did they think would happen if they didn’t pay anymore? I’m paying $1800 a month for a house thats now worth only $150k. But I borrowed the money and personal responsibility means that you pay your debts because as an adult, you freely entered into the mortgage agreement. Nobody held a gun to their heads and made them get a mortgage. If the protestors want to blame anyone for setting them up for failure, they should be protesting congress, freddie mac and fannie mae. They should be looking at who it was in congress that kept shutting down oversight legislation that was proposed by the Bush Admin. for Freddie and Fannie.

Their demand that ALL debt be forgiven is insane. How would you feel if you were a small time investor that people owed money to, and all of the sudden, that debt was wiped out and you are left with nothing… what about the $$ you gave the borrower?

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY! It seems to me.. I may be wrong about this, but it seems that many of their demands are either misdirected or they are abandoning any sense of “I’m responsible for my actions”.

They do have some good points. but as I said. they are protesting the wrong people and they are being used by the progressive left as a way of taking our eyes off the ball of the failing economy so Obama can get re-elected.

These are just my opinions and if you disagree then thats your right.. but I won’t debate my opinions because the won’t change so that would be a waste of everyones time.
