Lets face it, Our country is polarized between those that want the government to provide cradle to grave hand-holding and those that think we should stand on our own two feet and if the government keeps out of our way, we can be successful at whatever our desire and talents allow us to.  We have a President that has been ruling by Executive Orders and has completely disregarded the will of the majority of the people he works for, in order to “FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE” how our country operates.   If you disagree with his policies, you are called a RACIST and the race baiters say the only reason you’re against the President is because he’s black.  Was the only reason they were against President Bush because he was white?  I would have to make that assumption based on the hate filled rhetoric that was spewed in W’s direction on a daily basis.   I always assumed they  didn’t like W because of his conservative policies (oh okay.. semi-conservative…not as much as I wished) but now I’ve been taught that you can’t be against someone because of their policies, it has to be on a more personal level and it has to be based on race, or gender, or sexual preference.

I’m 56 years old and yes.. I am not a minority (yet.. but soon enough I will be)   Nobody has handed me a comfortable living and I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth.  I was a lousy student in school, but was very successful in the USAF where I served for 21 years.  I retired and since then I’ve been working full time jobs to pay the bills.  I really wish someone would tell me where this old white guy gets the “special treatment” that is supposedly so readily available to MY KIND, because I just can’t seem to find it.

RACIST:  a very ugly word that denotes a person who hates someone or a group of people because of the color of their skin. They will take action against others because of the color of their skin.  They will treat others differently because of the color of their skin. I would agree that it’s RACIST to not vote for Obama because he’s a white-african american  (remember.. Zimmerman is a white-hispanic because he’s of mixed race).  But I would also say that it’s just as RACIST to not vote for someone because they are NOT of the same race as you.  To vote for a person because they are black, is just as RACIST as voting for someone because they are white.   Voting should be based on issues and policies and results, not on the color of someones skin.   I will not be voting for Obama because I do not agree with his world view, his view of America, his view on the economy, and his habit of ruling as if he were the King of the United States, not a public servant that works for citizens of this country.. not just the ones that voted for him, but for ALL the citizens.

The Race Baiters are like the Boy that Cried Wolf… they yell RACIST so often that reasonable people are tuning them out and shaking their heads at how unbelievable their complaints are.  They will yell RACIST so often that I’m afraid that when a real RACIST nut job comes along, nobody will pay any attention.

If President Obama shows the leadership qualities and the world view that you agree with, then you should vote for him. Vote for him because of his positions. Not because he’s black. And if you won’t vote for him even though you agree with his policies because he’s black, then Shame on you!  If you won’t vote for Mitt Romney , even though you agree with his world view and his ideas of how to lead the country because the other guy is Black, then shame on you!
